There do I see my mother,
There do I see my father,
There do I see the line of my people,
Back to the beginning.
The ancestors gather.

They call to me.
They bid me take my place among them,

In the Halls of Freyja

Where the soul of the dead drummer may live forever.

We were both 9 years old when we first met and my first impression was that of "the annoying kid that kept turning up on my road pestering me!" It didn't take long for me to warm to him though and we became friends. We lost touch for quite a long time but I'm glad we re-connected and I had an opportunity to get to know him again. He holds a special place in my heart and I will miss him. Rest easy my friend. xx

Iain was my first friend. We met aged 3 at nursery, and spent a lot of our childhood and youth together. Making model airplanes, causing mischief with air guns, growing up outside. As we reached our teens, our shared love of punk and post punk kept us close through those changing years. Like so many, we lost contact until around ten years ago, when a school reunion brought us, and a couple of other old friends) back together. We got to relive some of our youth by performing punk covers together, and reminiscing. His memory was incredible, as he reminded us of long forgotten days. Until the end, and his declining health, he would still look at me with that mischievous, sideways glance. - A glint in his eye, and breaking into that infectious laugh. I’ll miss him, but fondly remember the great times we shared.
