MaryMITCHENERMRS Mary Mitchener, of Hurst Crescent, Rawtenstall, died on Monday, January 3, aged 96 at Royal Blackburn Hospital. Mary was a sample hand at Lambert Haworth Greenbridge for many years. She spent most of her working life in the shoe and slipper industry. Mary loved spending time with her family. She was a life-long parishioner at St James The Less RC Church, and was the oldest parishioner there. Wife of the late Bill, she leaves four children Jean, Stephen, Susan and Janet, son-in-law Colin, daughter-in-law Helen, six grandchildren - Oliver, Clare, Michael, Fiona, Adam and Stevie, and four great-grandchildren - George, Thomas, Maria and Matthew. A Requiem Mass, led by Father David Lupton, will take place on Monday, January 17 at 11am, followed by interment at Rawtenstall Cemetery. Family flowers only, with donations if desired to Cornerstones.
