Larry was a great pal of my brother, Dick Scott. They knew each other for many years.

Dick is not well just now and unable to post a tribute but I know how much he loved Larry.

I only knew Larry for a short time (through Dick) but I know he was a lovely man.

Dick and I will miss him a lot.

Rest in Peace Larry

I feel very blessed that I knew Larry Moat. He was one of the nicest people you could ever meet and a truly gentle soul. This world is much the poorer for losing him.

He was an amazing person who touched and enriched so many people's lives, and made their lives better just by being in it. Life got better when Larry walked into the room.

He was without a doubt the most knowledgeable, respected and loved man I have ever met. Compassionate and humble, he represented the man I would wish to be.

Losing Larry has left a gap that nothing else can fill. The world feels a lot lonelier now, a lot less colourful. However, I hold on to what he brought to my life - the memories, the lessons, and the unwavering reminder of what friendship can look like when it’s built on trust and love.

I have no doubt that when Larry died there would have been no need for him to knock on the gates of Heaven to gain entry. Those gates would have been flung wide open and a massive guard of honour of Heaven’s heavyweights waiting to welcome home one of the their most cherished sons.
