ValerieMORGAN18.3.1939 - 26.4.2008 Alf, Michelle and Neil wish to announce the sudden and unexpected death of Val at Prince Charles Hospital aged 69 years. Val was a dearly beloved wife to Alf, adoring Mam of Michelle and Neil, much loved mother-in-law to Vanessa and Robert, loving Nan, sister and special aunt to her many nieces and nephews. We wish to thank all family and friends for their condolences, sympathy cards and floral tributes. The amount of people at the funeral on May 2 in St Tydfil's Old Parish Church and at the interment in Pant Cemetery showed us how well liked Val was by everyone. The names of those who attended are too numerous to mention as we do not wish to omit anyone, our thanks to all. The donations we received are being given to Kidney Research as Val wished, after a better quality of life in the last 11 years after receiving a transplant. Val worked hard all her life and started out as a secretary in Lines Brothers where she met Alf and they were married 49 years, she then became a home care worker until she retired due to ill health. Our thanks to Mike Foley and David Crandon who carried out the funeral with dignity and respect, also thanks to Pastor Andy Pitt who gave a lovely service and to Natalie at Strikers for the Buffet afterwards. All the family wish to thank everyone for their compassion during this difficult time. If tears could build a stairway, And memories a lane, We would walk right up to Heaven, And bring you home again. Rest in peace our darling Val.
