MoiraMUIRPeacefully at Ysbyty Gwynedd, of Llandygai, Bangor. Aged 99 years.

A celebration of her life will be held at Bangor Crematorium on Monday, 11th of August at 12 noon.

Moira will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

As head of the department of Art at Ysgol Dyffryn Ogwen. Miss Muir was one of very few teachers I could call my favourite!

When she retired from the school. She became a friend. And was always supportive and helpful in all matters of art!

I'd regularly meet her in Doodles the art shop in Bangor. And fondly remember how much time and energy, she would spend. To ensure that any and all of the customers who walked in, had exactly the equipment they'd require for their projects!

Her inputs & assistance she gave to me when I started work at the College of Arms (as an Armorial artist and calligrapher) was immediately helpful. And willingly received.

I'll miss her sense of wit the most.
Requiescat in pace Miss Muir.
