Thank you for being the best dad I could have wished for. I will always miss hearing “iya doll” when I walked through the door. You supported me through anything and everything I wanted to try. You taught me so much in life — you gave me confidence and made me believe I could do anything. You were always so positive, and the very best grandad to Alaya, always teaching her right from wrong. Dad, nothing will ever fill the space you’ve left, but your love will guide me always.
All my love always,
your baby girl Laura xx

Dad,
you were the best dad I could ever have wished for.
You were the most amazing grandad, and my babies loved you so much.

They know you’re not here anymore, even though they can’t really understand it. They can feel it.
Joseph hasn’t said “Grandad” since you left. I don’t think he’s ready to accept it yet. You were everything to him.

And Dolcie loved you so much in such a short space of time.
Her first word was Grandad.
Her little face used to light up around you – just staring at you.

You had such a big impact on me as my dad, and on my children as their grandad.
I’m so thankful I had you as my dad, and for everything you showed me growing up – your stories, your way of life, and the lessons you taught me.
You taught me so much.

You were so strong, Dad… but so kind.

The day you left us was the day you took a part of me with you.
I don’t think I will ever understand why you had to go.
They really are right when they say God only takes the best – but it feels so unfair.

I would do anything to go back in time and spend a little longer with you.
To listen to your stories a little longer.
To just be around you a little longer… where I felt safe and loved.

You truly were the best.

Goodnight, Dad.
I love you forever, until I see you again.

Love from
Rosie – or Rosa, like you always called me 💔

Joseph and Dolcie… we are so grateful we got to call you ours
