I have only just learnt of the sad loss of John. I knew this friendly giant many years ago whilst at King Edward VI school and have fond memories of our days playing rugby and our famous trek of Hadrian's Wall with teacher Peter Tyson during the 70's.Our thoughts are very much with Andrea and family during these sad days. Thinking this morning when i saw this sad news and that beaming smile of John, memories came flooding back. Certainly John will be a huge miss in the village and community but also far and wide.
