I knew Charles through All Saints church, Hertford. Latterly I had not attended frequently, my home being in France, but when I did, he was always there - often helping out as Sidesman, always with a charming smile and time for a chat.
May he Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory!

Charles was a great friend to all saints church Hertford I guessed he loved every minute of it. I didn't know until I was told that he was part of the scouts. Being a sidesman member at all saints church Hertford I was always helping him up the steps for holy communion but depending what side of the church he was sitting in and making a lot of friends at all saints church Hertford. He was the only one I
always noticed with a walking stick. I didn't talk to him much but at least he was there.
