ValerieMURPHYWe announce the passing of Valerie June Murphy on 7th December 2025 Aged 84 years.

Funeral service to take place at Thanet Crematorium on Monday 5th January 2026 at 12.00p.m.



Many of you knew her better as "Tink", a reference to her fun and mischievous ways. A wonderful Mother to Michael, Danny, Graeme and Anne-Louise, and doting Grandmother to Steven, Andrew, James, Polly, Katie, Angelina, Chloe and Oliver and adoring Great Grandparent to Kai, Joshua, Indie and Norah.



Her sister, Ann, remained throughout her life her best friend.



She loved to laugh, loved her garden, baking and just being a beautiful soul.



In line with our mother's wishes, she would like everyone to dress with "colour and happiness" at her funeral. Her wish was always that if she really had to die, then she would want to make this a celebration of her life, a life well lived.



The family have requested Family flowers only, But Donations can be made to the UK Sepsis Trust, sepsistrust.org/

My Auntie Tink, as I would call her growing up next door to my best mate Danny.

More like a second mum really, took me swimming and would include me in days out and always made sure that we were well catered for!

With fond memories always.

Your Mum was such a lovely, warm, fun and kind-hearted person, Anne, and her passing is such a sad loss to this world. Wishing you and your family comfort, strength, and all the love you deserve during this difficult time. In memory of a very dear and valued lady, who I knew as 'Anne's Mum' and my Mum, Angela, knew as Val'. We were shocked and so sad to hear of your passing, Val' - you were always such a lovely, kind-hearted, warm person with such a keen sense of fun, whenever we met you... you will be sadly missed by many.
