WinifredMURRAY(Nee Sullivan) 13.02.1933 - 29.01.2008 It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing away after a long illness bravely borne of Winnie, suddenly but peacefully of Valley Manor Care Home, Pontlottyn. Winnie was the much loved wife of Bill, cherished mother of Christine, Claire and Barbara, loved and respected mother-in-law of Ray, Andrew, and Paul, adored grandmother of Shaun, Stephen, Gareth, Mark, Thomas, Andrew and Grant who with pride were her bearers. A much loved Nanny to her great granddaughter Megan, Kayleigh, Rhianwen and Phoebe, loved nan-in-law to Angharad, Kellie and Katie also a much loved sister to Eddie, Kitty and Terry and sister-in-law to Megan, Jack, Eileen, Colin and Mike and auntie to all her nieces and nephews. A requiem mass was held at St. John's R.C. Church in Rhymney, officiated by Reverend Father Gareth Jones who spoke movingly and personally of Winnie which was a great comfort to Bill and all the family, and then after at Llwydcoed Crematorium. A big thank you to all who attended, for the many messages of condolence received and for the flowers and donations in lieu of flowers to Helping Hands Rhymney, a sum of £130 has been forwarded to them. Thanks to Ri's Florists Rhymney for the beautiful floral tributes. Thanks to Dr. Potts and Dr. Wilson, District Nurses, Redwood Hospital, Rhymney and community carers for all the care and attention shown to Winnie throughout the years. Special thanks to Valley Manor Care Home, Pontlottyn for the wonderful care given to Winnie during the eighteen months she spent there, she was always treated with dignity. The funeral arrangements were carried out with great care and dignity by Patricia Griffiths, Rhymney, who was of great practical help to the family at this difficult time. Winnie was a true inspiration to everyone who knew her and to those who loved her best. No more suffering or pain, Sleep well till we meet again. God bless R.I.P. always xx
