Edward WilliamMYRTLEof East Bank, Water, Rossendale passed away at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 76 years on January 8. Eddie began working at Doric Springs, Water as a mechanic at the age of 16. He eventually became sales director, then moved to Siddall and Hilton, where he retired from at the age of 68. Eddie was a big Manchester United Fan, he enjoyed walking, gardening, DIY, reading and socialising with family and friends. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years Diane, daughters Jane, Julie, Lynsey, Gina and her partner Lee. Grandchildren Laura, Lucy, Leonie, Jordan, Lauren, Reece, Liam, Rio, Skye and their partners and 12 great grandchildren. He also leaves his brother Fred, sisters Barbara, Janice and her husband Thornton, brother-in-law Philip and his family and several nephews and nieces. His funeral will take place on Tuesday, January 24 at Fred Hamer, Rawtenstall at 12.30pm, conducted by Katie Carmichael, then a committal at Burnley Crematorium at 1.45pm.
