ChristopherNICHOLLSChristopher James Nicholls, known to all who loved him as James or Jimmy, passed away on 24th January 2026, aged 52, following a sudden and devastating cancer diagnosis in November.
His illness progressed rapidly, and his loss has come far too soon, leaving his family and all who knew him heartbroken.
James was a deeply loved husband, devoted father, cherished son, brother, and friend. He was the heart of his family - strong, protective, endlessly capable, and always there when he was needed. He had a quiet strength and a reassuring presence that made those around him feel safe, supported, and loved.
He had a lifelong passion for tropical fish and aquatics, spending countless hours creating and caring for the underwater worlds he loved so much. He also had a special love for pigs, which brought him great happiness and reflected his gentle, patient nature and deep affection for animals. He was someone who could fix almost anything, always ready to help others, never asking for anything in return.
Above all else, James loved his family completely. He was a proud and loving husband and father, whose love, humour, guidance, and unwavering support shaped the lives of those closest to him. He was our protector, our safe place, and our constant.
James will be remembered for his strength, his kindness, his humour, and the unconditional love he gave so freely. His loss leaves an immeasurable void, but his love and legacy will remain forever in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
My soulmate, my protector, and my best friend.
Thank you for loving us so completely.
You will be forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
Until we meet again.
