Dearest Malcolm. Although our time getting to know each other through the Chelmsford Civic Society was cut short, you still made a huge impact on me by increasing my passion for helping others and doing the right thing. It is incredibly sad that I will never get to know you more but at the same time it was a privilege to know you for that short period. Thankyou for coming into my life. RIP. My thoughts go out to Malcolm’s family. Rachel Langran.

A lovely man , calm and patient. A fondly remembered genuine leader in education. Worked as a teacher under his leadership and he will be missed by many. RIP

Rest in peace dear friend.

A master of both words and action, and a role model for principled service with good humour and intelligent perspective.

On behalf of the many good causes you supported over the years, I thank you. You leave us all better than you found us.

You will be greatly missed and remembered with deep affection and admiration.
