Seven Years Today

Seven years have softly passed,
Since we held you for the last.
Though time has gently moved along,
Your memory remains so strong.

Not a day goes drifting by
Without a thought, a quiet sigh.
The laughter shared, the words you said,
Still live within our hearts instead.

Love does not fade with passing years,
Nor is it washed away by tears.
It changes only how it’s shown—
In whispered thoughts when we’re alone.

Today we pause and speak your name,
Our love for you remains the same.
Gone from our sight, but never apart,
You live forever in our hearts.

Two years it was like yesterday
As we held your hand and didn’t know what to say.
The 5th of August two years ago you went on your way.
Somewhere special God said sorry you could not stay.
You left this earth with memories galore
Fire engines and county Councillor and a lot more .
A husband Father Grandad too .
A friend and colleague with the firemen crew.
You let my sister know you are still around with the air flow a typical sound .
We will always remember you with a cheery grin
Now free from this world and the earthly sin.
Jesus will come soon to this earthly plain
The resurrection song eternal gain ..
The chain never to be broken United once more
Eternal happiness and no more death that is for sure .

We had joy we had fun we had seasons in the sun.
Now you have left us sadly with a life well done.
A fireman County Councilor much more to declare.
Happy memories now we can sit and share.
You saved many lives wore your uniform with pride
Many attributes you had that we cannot hide.
A free mason and painter and decorator just to name more .
A Father a Husband and Grandad and there was always Friends knovking at Tonys door.
You fought so hard as well held your hand
It was not to be our Heavenly Father made a stand.
Grief and depression now we have to bare
The great loss of a man who was so very rare.
Now you have gone to rest waiting for the day.
When our Heavenly Fathers plan will unite us all we pray.
The resurection plan .no more death sorrow or pain .
The meek will inherit the earth with the glirious sun and the rain
.Unied together never to depart .
Until then we keep the loving memories in our heart

Tony it was a pleasure to have known you, husband of my lovely friend Julie, and brother of my lovely friend Sharon. I remember how hard you worked for the Syston town council and as a fireman., you will be remembered as a great man with a lovely personality and always wanting to help people, you did and made a difference my friend.
