I first met Father Jim in 2007 when he was Catholic Chaplain at the University and I was Quaker Chaplain. I shall remember him as one of the loveliest human beings I have ever known, full of kindness, gentleness and understanding. Had I heard sooner of his death, I would have attended his Funeral Mass.
Jim will have left an indelible memory of warmth and goodness with everyone whose life he touched.

I remember Father Jim well from when he was a parish priest at St Mary's and Joseph's Pocklington. He was incredibly kind and always gave thought-provoking sermons. I am deeply saddened to hear that he has passed away but trust he is now at peace. Sending my very best to his family and friends.
