JamesO'CONNORJim O’Connor passed away peacefully at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Thursday, June 3, aged 70 years. Jim worked for many years as a car bodywork specialist before running a shoe manufacturing business with his wife Susan. He later worked in a fishing tackle shop before his retirement. Among his many interests were holidaying together with Susan in their motorhome, and he was also a very keen angler. Loving dad to daughter Michelle and son David, he also was a devoted granddad to Shaunie, Daniel, Oliver and Joe, and a special greatgranddad to Lottie and Harper. A Celebration of Life funeral service, given by Neil Overton, will take place at Accrington Crematorium on Monday, June 21, at 11am. Family flowers only please, but donations in Jim’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society via the family.
