Patrick JosephO'CONNORPassed away peacefully on 23rd June 2025 aged 76 years.

Much loved dad to Martin, Sarah and Helen, Patrick will be sadly missed by all his family and friends near and far. This won't be a sombre occasion. In his words 'It's ok to be sad but I want everyone to get together and have a party!' He wanted us to come together not in mourning, but in celebration of his life - to share stories, reflect on memories, sing songs and raise a glass in his honour.

Funeral Tuesday 15th July 2025, service 11.30am at Trent Valley Crematorium, Aston on Trent.

Family flowers only please, donations in memory payable to 'Marie Curie' or 'Oldies Club Dog Rehoming' may be given at the service or online.

I knew Patrick from when I would spend summer times at the family home playing with Helen and Sarah as a child.
Martin was just a little one back then.
I remember Patrick sitting in his armchair after a long day at the bakery with his boxer dog by his side. Or even joining in with a bit of swing ball in the garden, it’s funny what you remember l... I guess Id say he was a father figure to me at that age, a kind man, a strong man, a happy man. I had never ever forgotten Patrick even though it must be almost 40 years since those days when I had last visited.
More recently we became Face book friends!! Technology eh! I’d always smile if I saw Patrick had left me a comment or wished me a happy birthday always followed by a ☘️.
Patrick will always have a place in my heart and I always wondered if he was happy that I married into an Irish name!
Thank you for being an important memory for me.
