Really sad to hear about Cynthia’s passing. I started working with Cynthia at Carlton J&I School in 1997 and worked alongside her until she left. I have many fond memories of Cynthia. I admired her commitment to the children and families at Carlton and the enrichment she brought to all the children. My thoughts are with Cynthia’s family and friends.

Cynthia was not only all my children's first teacher at Carlton, she was also a colleague.
It was through her belief in me that i got to work alongside her.
She was full of life and always had time for the children and parents. Her enthusiasm and the passion she had in working with the children was apparent.
She bought much joy to many families within the community whilst she worked at Carlton. She made a lasting impact and will be missed by former students and their families alike. Rest in peace.

Cynthia’s passing leaves a huge void in our community. Over many years she served tirelessly as a governor of Scholes J&I (where she became Chair while I was Vice‑Chair) and at several other local schools, always driven by her genuine care for children and staff alike. Cynthia was also a long-term and key member of FOSS - Friends of Scholes School - helping to organise countless events over the years with great enthusiasm. Whenever we needed to set a date for a meeting or plan an event, we always checked Cynthia’s diary first - normally full with other commitments.
