So sad to hear Edris passed away recently, she was a great old lady, we lit a candle for her at church over Christmas when we heard. Edris and Alan were great neighbours up here in Haslingden, and made us feel very welcome when we arrived next door 18 years ago. Commiserations to all of Edris' family, from Chris, Michelle and Alexander at no 16.

Edris Ottley is our aunt and we have known her all our lives. We the Lee family will miss her greatly. We never her say a cross word. She and our mother were very close cousins. We shared many holidays when she came to London to visit us. Our mother and auntie would have endless chats and a good laugh. She will be sadly missed by all the family but never forgotten she will always be in our hearts.

I have known Edris for so many years since meeting Erika at University. She has always made me feel like one of the family. Our children loved her too and we enjoyed visiting her when we came to Stafford. She was always interested in what my children were up to and they loved her too. She was always so kind and generous. Love to all the family at this difficult time. The Austins xx

A tribute from Edris’s brother Padget Wynter
I love you dear Edris, beautiful sister of mine. Universally loved child of God. This day saddened are the hearts of many recipients of your caring, kindness and compassion. You who named me even before I left my mother’s womb was that to assure that I could never forget you? No worries I never will nor can’t. Nothing loved is ever lost.
You’ll never leave my heart
Padget
