I first met Richard in 1966 when we were students at college in Chelsea, London. Together with others, we shared accommodation in Putney for a couple of years and I shared a flat on the Lower Richmond Road with Richard in the early 70's.
Throughout, Richard was a good friend, a considerate flatmate, a conscientious student, and an enthusiastic piano player. I have happy memories of those times.
Regrettably, we fell out of touch when Richard and family moved to the Midlands and I learnt of his passing only recently.
RIP Richard - I hope there's a piano for you up there.
