GeoffreyPARKINSONAt his home in Billington on 18th March 2024 Geoff passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family aged 78 years and formerly of Accrington.

The devoted and much loved husband of Anne, loving and adored dad of Louise and Daniel, loved father-in-law of Andy and Emma, cherished grandad of Alice, dear brother of Sheila and the late Barbara and also a dear relative and friend to many.

Born and raised in Accrington, Geoff lived his whole life in the town before downsizing to Billington two years ago. He spent his working life as a wood machinist working for various companies throughout Accrington and Blackburn. Geoff loved sport and in his younger years he enjoyed playing football and running and in later years he found pleasure on the green, playing crown green bowling for many clubs in the local area. To Geoff family was the centre of his universe and he loved nothing more than catching up with those closest to him, he was the most doting grandad to Alice and he always looked forward to getting out for a walk with his much loved 'grand-dogs'. Holidays were always looked forward to and over the years Geoff visited many different countries enjoying some well earned rest and relaxation whilst sampling the local culture.

Geoff will be sadly missed but fondly remebered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday 28th March 2024 at Accrington Crematorium at 11.40am.

I worked at the same place as Geoff Abbott Bros Ewood (Office Furniture) I always found Geoff to be a genuine sort of guy in every way. Condolences to all family and friends on a very sad loss.
