Aunty Pat had that uncanny knack of not only being a brilliant aunt, but also a loyal and critical friend. Always prepared to advise when needed, always prepared to simply listen when that was best fit. I benefited from her wise counsel and kindness throughout my life. And I loved discussing books we’d both read as Pat could be relied on for great and fresh insights. For myself, I will miss her enormously. But I’m also feeling glad that Pat is now reunited with my wonderful, funny, kind and handsome uncle, Big Norm. Sending much love, and thanks (for the chance to attend remotely) xx Sarah
