Captain Richard JaphethPARRYIt is with sadness that we announce the death of Dick who passed away peacefully on December 18th 2025 at Bryn Meddyg Care Home, Llanaelhaearn aged 84 years.
Elder member of the well-known and respected Japheth family from the Trefor community.
Dear son of the late Will and Bertha and husband of the late Anne. Will be sadly missed by children Tim, Nick, Chris and Jen and grandchildren Issy, Elen, Michael, Dewi, Carys-Ann, Rosalind, Harry and Max and close cousin Beti.
A life spent at sea, formerly of Llanfairfechan where he was Commodore of the Sailing Club, he lived his happy retirement years in Pontllyfni.
Public funeral service and committal at Bangor Crematorium on Thursday, January 22nd 2026 at 1.30p.m.
Immediate family flowers, but donations if desired will be gratefully received for R.N.L.I. per the offertory plate at the Crematorium or to the Funeral Director. Please make cheques payable to H.J. Jones Donations Account.
