EileenPAYNEformerly of Burbage (previous teacher at Burbage Junior School), passed away peacefully on 17th February 2026, aged 105 years. Wife of the late Joseph, much loved mum of Lis and Charlie, loving grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma. Forever in our hearts. A Service to Celebrate her life will be held at South Leicestershire Crematorium, Countesthorpe on Thursday 5th March at 3.00pm. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, for Crisis may be made online at www.jstampandsons.co.uk or sent to J. Stamp & Sons, Funeral Directors of Market Harborough.

Very happy memories of working with Eileen at Grove Road from 1971 to 1973......always supportive. I was so lucky to teach children she'd taught the previous year as they were already confident and motivated. Thank you Eileen.
