Aunt Sylvia was the kindest, most soft-spoken lady I’ve ever met. She made a big difference in so many people’s lives, always for the better, and I am truly proud to call her—and Uncle Dick—family. Having them in my life was a privilege, and they both mean more to me than words can say.
Now she is reunited with Uncle Dick, who loved her so dearly. I imagine her holding hands with Sherard and looking over there lovely grown up kids and grandchildren.
One of my fondest memories of Aunt Sylvia is from a time when I was in the hospital on the same ward as her. I noticed this small lady quietly walking around, emptying other patients’ water jugs and placing them in her bag. When I asked what she was doing, she came over and spoke so sweetly that it made me smile from ear to ear. That was just who she was—thoughtful, gentle, and full of love for others. She was truly adorable.
She will be deeply missed. Sending all my love to the entire family.
