Garry and his wife Phyllis and my parents were very close friends in the late 1970s and early 1970s. I remember them visiting our house with another couple (whose names I can not recall possibly Doreen and Albert) it would be steak and chips on the menu and copious amounts of Matteus Rose wine! Lots of laughs and giggles! But life takes people in many different directions. It was a comfort to my mum when they both came to my dad’s funeral in 1990. Garry was always full of fun and mischief. Some great memories. May he rest in peace 🙏🏼
