David LesliePICKERINGWith deep sadness to announce the passing of Dave on 27th July 2024 at RSUH aged 75 years.

A beloved son to the late Irene and Bill Pickering, may they be reunited in peace. Dave, a much loved brother to Denise, treasured uncle to Michelle and Gareth, precious great-uncle to Dolly-Rose and uncle in law to Richard and Emma. A truly unforgettable gentleman, devoted teacher and friend to many.

Dave's funeral service is to be held on Wednesday 28th August 2024 at 11.45am at The Old Chapel, Etruria ST1 5PE. Mourners are kindly asked to meet at the service and are warmly invited to remain in the chapel after the service to continue sharing stories and memories of Dave, whilst light refreshments will be served.

Floral tributes are welcome as are donations, should you wish to donate in loving memory of this wonderful gentleman, monies would be welcomed towards Eaton Park Academy and would be gratefully appreciated. Any enquiries please contact the funeral director. Thank you.

As a teacher I came across Dave through the Longton Sport's Association. he was an ever present at different sports that were organised. I can see him now at the athletics competition at Northwood stadium.
What a gentleman. Always out for the children and good fun.

My Pickering taught me PE at Eaton Park Middle School from 1976 to 1979, he made it fun and gave everyone the same opportunity to take part in all types of sports. I’ll never forget him. RIP
