GracePILKINGTONpeacefully passed away at home on Saturday, April 3. Born in 1933, one of seven siblings, Grace Dobson was raised in Accrington before moving to Oswaldtwistle following her marriage to the late Thomas Pilkington. Grace was a well known figure around Oswaldtwistle, known for her pleasant disposition and kind manner. An active and energetic lady who loved shopping in Accrington centre and browsing the local charity shops for hidden gems. Grace was the much loved mother of Lynn, twins Janet and Julie, and the late David, and much loved mother-in-law to David. Cherished sister of Sally, the late Margaret, the late Claire, the late Rose, the late Elsie and the late Robert. Grace also leaves grandchildren Victoria, Rebecca, Thomas, Benjamin, Luke and Oliver, and great-grandchildren, Harley, Neve, Daisy, Archie, Hallie and Theo. The funeral will take place by invitation only on Friday, April 16 at 3pm at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only and donations to Grace’s charity of choice Derian House c/o funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.
