JackPILLINGMr John ‘Jack’ Pilling, of Mercer Crescent, Helmshore, died at home on Sunday, April 10, aged 81. Jack was Special Projects Manager for W. Holland & Sons until his retirement. He attended Haslingden Grammar School and Blackpool Technical College, as well as being a member of the Boys Brigade. Jack was passionate about football, golf, and bowls, being an integral member of the Sunnybank Social Club, the Rossendale Male Voice Choir, and Haslingden Methodist Church. Husband of Barbara, Jack leaves his daughter Susan, son-in-law Allan, and grandchildren Katy, Theo, and Myles. He also leaves son Russell, who lives in New Zealand, Jenny and granddaughter Juliette. The funeral service will be held at Haslingden Methodist Church on Tuesday, April 26 at 10.30am. It will be followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium, officiated by Rev’d Elizabeth Kirova.
