ThomasPILLINGof Brow Edge, Newchurch, Rossendale, passed away
at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on October 8, aged 92.

Tom was a retired cotton weaver. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, cars, sport, church, singing, baking, shopping, family days out and meals out. Reading, horse racing, in his younger days he was also involved with and played for the local football team. Tom used to ride a motorbike, then motorbike and sidecar. He enjoyed many holidays in Scarborough. Tom was also a member of St Joseph and St Peter RC Church, Newchurch.

Husband to the late Rita Pilling, Tom leaves behind his children Angela, Susan, Andrew, Michael, Matthew, Amanda, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

A service will be held at St Joseph and St Peter RC Church, Newchurch, on Wednesday, October 23 at 11am conducted by Father Stamp.
