Well Ken, it is just over a year now since you left us so suddenly. You are missed by everyone and especially your whole family and many friends. Every time I see a winger cutting inside, or a Korean movie is on, I smile and think of you. Larger than life, my big brother Ken. ❤️❤️❤️

It’s been a year since we lost my dad and best friend. It’s hard to believe how quickly time has passed. I often find myself reflecting on the countless memories we shared and the values he instilled in me. I hope he’s looking down and feeling proud of the person I’m becoming. Every day, I strive to live in a way that honors his legacy—through kindness, strength, and love. I miss him deeply, but I hold onto the lessons he taught and the joy he brought into our lives.

Here’s to keeping his spirit alive in everything we do. 🍺

Love you always, Dad. ❤️❤️❤️

Ken Poolan wasn’t just a lifelong friend of mine, but also a friend and supporter of our local Multiple Sclerosis Group, which he nominated for his charity award at work. Here is Ken presenting me with a cheque for £1,000, at our lads' night out (old school friends), at The Stags Head in Byker, on Friday 24th. June, 2016, which was awarded to North Tyneside Multiple Sclerosis Society by the charity award lad's onboard Gannet Alpha.
Ken’s thoughtfulness brought a good few thousand pounds into the Group’s funds, thank you Ken.
One year has passed since you left us, and I still miss you so very much.
