FrankPORTERPassed away at Royal Liverpool Hospital. Aged 83 Years. Frank was a dearly loved husband of Joan for 62 years. (They met in the RAF in 1960) Precious caring Father of Jane, Sally and Kieron, as well as a second Dad to Martin, Phil and Francesca. As well as a loving Grandad and Great Grandad. He will be sadly missed far more than words can say. Always quietly spoken but with a good sense of humour, he was a kind and thoughtful husband and father with an innate awareness of the needs and sensitivities of his family and others. He was always a pleasure to be with and to talk to. As his devastated daughter Sally so aptly pointed out, she, Jane and Kieron have lost "the most amazing, kind, funny supportive Dad anyone could wish for and will miss his endless stories from the past as well as his quick wit and humour". As a skilled joiner, Frank could turn a piece of wood into a beautiful bookcase or piece of furniture and many of his customers around West Lancashire came to regard him as a friend. However it was his wish that at his death there would be no service or flowers and only Joan, Jane and Sally would accompany him to his cremation. Frank also did voluntary work in two local charity shops after he retired and many years earlier he was involved with the junior football team at Ormskirk Methodist Church.
