ChristineQUANLoving wife to Peter, inspirational mother to Ginny, Mark and Jane and to son-in-law Jonathan, devoted grandmother to Rosa, Joe and Stella, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday 22nd February with her family at her side. Energetic, compassionate and generous in her support of others, Christine leaves many friends in the community, who are invited to celebrate her life at a requiem mass at St Vincent de Paul Church, Caldershaw Road, Norden, Rochdale OL12 6BU, on Thursday 10th March at 12.00 midday. We will miss her joyful approach to life and her kindness to all. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to either Shelter or The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. Many thoughts of Christine. I too knew her and Peter from St Vincent’s both parish and choir. She was jovial, energetic, thoughtful and always ready to help. Helped her a few times when she organised Christian Aid Collections. We had many a laugh and with Peter they both enjoyed choir times and their other musical groups. Christine was a remarkable lady and we send love, prayers and thoughts to Peter, Ginny, Jane and Mark xx

I knew Christine and Peter from the choir at St Vincents many moons ago. I always admired her quiet strength and patience. I always think of her cooking a salmon after either an Easter or a Christmas vigil mass - which would’ve ended quite late anyway - and me wondering where she got her energy from!
