I knew Eric & Anne through the Half Moon in Ryton Village, many a good night was had there & at their home.
When Dominic was born, he & my Son Phillip were great friends & Phillip often joined them on holiday.
I'll remember Eric for his Sense of Humour, his Laughter & Kindness.
Sadly I cannot attend his funeral, though I'll be thinking of Him, as well as Dominic, Ray & his family

Eric and I were very close in our younger days. Roaming the streets of Newcastle, playing cricket and football with our other pals. Getting into all sorts of trouble. When we moved to Ryton we played down by the Tyne and the "poiser". But we grew up and went our ways but still keeping in touch. Eric always had a wonderful sense of humour, even when he knew he was dying. His strength and dignity he showed near the end of his life gave me a sense of awe and pride that he is my brother. I will miss him greatly.
