Nora JuneRAWSTHORNE24, 2008 The funeral service took place on Tuesday 6 August, of Nora Rawsthorne (Nee Yates) aged 99 years, at St Joseph's Catholic Church, Blundellsands, the Church where she had worshipped for 55 years. Father Don Gordon officiated. Nora Rawsthorne was born in Crosby, lived in the area all her life, and was educated at Seafield Convent. She was married for 55 years, to Bob, a local company director, until his death in 1991. She was a stalwart of West Lancashire Golf Club for many years and lady captain twice. She leaves her three Children John, Anthony and Mary, eight Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren, by all of whom she will be greatly missed.
