I live in Taupo NZ and through a pal in Saltash who also was a pal of Barry informed me that Barry has passed away. He was a great friend when we lived in Billacombe and as children we had some wonderful 'adventures' together. He was a really nice man, a gentle giant to my lack of height. Friendly, cheerful and I have so many memories even when he lent me his long pants because I didn't want to wear short pants. He had a lovely mum who used to give me hot saffron buns with butter on because she reckoned i needed to put on weight. It's upsetting for me as much as for you for losing an old friend.
