If I had to describe my brother in one word, it would be brave. He was brave as a very young child taking perfect swallow dives off a diving board 10 times his height without a hint of fear. He was brave on the rugby field as a teenager. He was brave as a young man when he found out he had a condition which would alter his life forever. And he was brave at the end, playing down his illness, always with humour and stoicism. He always believed there were people worse off than him, and refused any sympathy or fuss. The last message we shared was a giff sent by me showing the Monty python knight willing to fight on despite having all limbs severed. He answered in typical Bleddyn fashion “tis only a scratch”. I will miss you Bledd.
