Kenneth ThomasREESKen was a very kind and genuine person who did things his own unique way but always with others in mind. Husband, father, brother, brother-in-law and uncle; he was a much-loved member of the family and a true character and gentleman.
Ken was a former winger for Llanelli Reds, often admired for his skill and speed. He enjoyed a career as an electrician which started with an apprenticeship at Carmarthen Bay Powerplant. His work took him to a number of roles and locations, most significantly his eight years spent working in Saudi Arabia in the 1980s.
Many others will remember Ken later on in life, as he took to the road to run Elite Driving School. Ken's spirit passed peacefully on 29th March at Prince Phillip Hospital, at the age of 85, with his wife and daughter, Anne and Amanda, by his side. This was following a brief illness treated by the wonderful staff of Ward 1.
To celebrate and give thanks for his life, a ceremony will be held at Llanelli Crematorium on Tuesday 28th April at 12pm. Donations, if desired, in Ken's memory may be made to Carers Trust West Wales.
