FrankRIDINGMr Frank Riding, of Waingate Close, Rawtenstall, died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Tuesday, November 30, aged 91. After his National Service, Frank worked all his working life at Newchurch Boot in Accounts and Wage until its closure in 1989. He had a passion for sport, especially cricket and football. He was also a keen gardener, and loved puzzles and jigsaws. Frank was an honorary life member of Rawtenstall Cricket Club. He was a junior coach and secretary for many years. Frank also loved holidays, and enjoyed the Lake District, Cornwall, and Yorkshire Dales hiking. He leaves wife Enid, of 68 years, daughter Susan and son-in-law Brian, son Paul and daughter-in-law Jacqui, grandchildren Claire, Sarah, George, and Isabel, and four great-grandchildren Sam, Eddy, Annabel, and Joseph. The funeral will be held at Burnley Crematorium on Tuesday, December 14 at 1.45pm, led by Rev David Burrow. Family flowers only; donations if desired to Civic Pride Rossendale.
