AnnRIDINGMrs Ann Riding, nee Longworth, of Bacup Road, Waterfoot, died peacefully at home on Saturday, April 23, aged 75. Ann was formerly a machinist in the footwear industry, leading firewoman with Lancashire FRS, and latterly a scheme manager of sheltered accommodation for 19 years, before retiring in 2007. She was a member of Gaghills Bowling Club for many years, and loved going on family holidays and eating out. Wife of Keith for 51 years, mum to Ian and Andrew and their partners Joanne and Jenna, grandma to Connor, Holli, Oliver, Millie-Rose and Natalie, sister to Christine and the late John, she also leaves cousins, nieces, and nephews. The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 12, at 1.10pm at Fred Hamer, followed by Accrington Crematorium at 1.40pm. Donations to Cancer Research, Rossendale Hospice, and BHF.
