Knocker and I were on the same WO2 course and whilst we knew each other fleetingly prior to that, it is there where we became friends. Whenever our paths crossed after that we would always share a wet (coffee or beer) and catch up. A top, solid and good hearted bloke who would always lend an ear and have a kind word. RIP Kocker pal. Taken far too soon.

I only met Dave 2 or 3 times on ex-Navy runs ashore over the years yet I remember him as always being very friendly, very cheerful and also kind. And I won't forget that. I'm posting this so the family will know that he always made a positive difference to, and touched the lives of, even people who knew him only briefly. Never forgotten ⚓.

We first me each other in March 1989, when we joined HMS/m Tireless until 1992. We met again at SCU Leydene (1996) and went on to serve together again on HMS Cornwall. A truly wonderful person and great friend.
