Hi Simon!
Sorry we couldn't make it to your 60th party yesterday! It would have been easier if you had still been with us!😊.
I know you'll appreciate the witticism!
We think and talk about you still. The Christmas's we spent together, as adults and children. The school holidays spent at Nans house, the games we played. We had this one game, where we had to get around the room without touching the floor, Nan wasn't impressed!
The smell of carbolic soap and Izal toilet paper. In the bathroom she had pears soap. If Nan made us boiled egg's, I would eat the yoke and the white but you only ate the white.
Remember feeding our labrador Brandy a biscuit and I chased you because he wasn't allowed biscuits. Then you ran in our house, closed the door on me and I broke the glass!
Then there was your slinky, we spent age's seeing who could get it to go the furthest down the stairs!
The little coloured fish from Christmas crackers, see who had the hottest hands.
Then as we got older, you went up to Newcastle to live, we didn't see as much as each other but you were a good Uncle to my children. When you did see us, you always played with them. They thought you were fun. They had these crayons that you could use on their skin. They thought it was great because you would always spend ages drawing pictures all over their, arms, legs, faces, wherever you could find a spare bit of skin!!!
I could carry on and on with memories of you and the happy time's we had.
Anyway I'll go now.
We will always have you in my hearts, especially me.
Love Adele x
