Pamela ReadROGERSPeacefully, on 2nd May 2023, with her daughter by her side in Stockport, Pamela Read Rogers left this world to be reunited with her husband, Alan who passed away in October 2022. She was aged 82 years old. Known to everyone as Pam, she was born in Liverpool and came to Ramsbottom to stay with relatives during the war. She lived in Strongstry, attended Peel Brow School and lived her life around St Philips Church and the community of Chatterton, Stubbins, where she met her husband of 58 years Alan. They lived in Edenfield all their married life before moving to Stockport last August to be near their daughter and grandchildren. Pam leaves her children Lindsay and Peter and her grandchildren Josh, Angel, Carmen and Oscar. She is survived by her brother Tony Sutton who emigrated to Perth Australia in 1971. Her funeral takes place on Thursday 11th May 2023 at St Philips Church at 10.30am, followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium. Pam and Alan's ashes will be reunited in the family grave at Stubbins Congregational Church, their final resting place.
