I was shocked he did not realise how well I knew him I said you sure Jabba he said yes I came home googled it and then put some flowers at the richo garden. Thanks for giving him a send of Steve would have meant a lot to him . I’m a twelver ShiaMuslim and though he’s not forgotten I still like now like to give some charity on his behalf and hope the Lord lets him know . The best gift you his children can give him is fulfill his dreams let him live through you for indeed he that’s in your heart still lives like you say. Salaam aalaikum

Dear Tyrone I remember seeing you and Steve out of the blue in town by Hannigans. In the Burges. Despite the years in those 5 / 10 minutes we naturally caught up like we’d seen each other the day before. I remember the sadness of not being near your kids straight from the depth of your heart. I told you no 2 days were the same chin up. Steve was such a good mate I could see he had your back just like we all did. I remember you saying ahh with a big smile that infectious smile that lifted the room ‘we went to see Tranter made speacial effort and got him a gift and guess what he was underwhelmed took the gift and said got to have my tea boys. Some people miss the moment forever more. I understood what made you do that. You know Tye one of the most graceful things I’ve seen is you running. It’s always stayed with and every time I remember I end up saying ‘work of art’. Gods grace spoke when you ran. I remember staying after school to watch a race with Mr Tranter (the guy breathed your running) despite others from our flock being there he was getting more agitated until you were over half a lap behind and half a lap to go he turned to me and said he’s messed it up with him and I replied Relax sir look at him he’s going to win. He panicked I saw a boy completely in his element exact measurements alone in his single mindedness that was head and shoulders above the whole field and yes totally in control. As you passed me and sir ten yard you put your foot down and was level by the last 1/4 and won it by a 3 or 4 yards clear ! I wish I told you this before but it was not meant to be. You know mr Tranter turned to me as he was jumping in the air cheri g smiling silver hair floating and said with full conviction ‘ I knew he’d do it’ the look I gave him of complete incredulity did not register.
