Patricia MargaretROSSIn cherished memory of Patricia Margaret Ross (née Scantlebury), loving Wife and Widow of Canadian Navy Commodore Edward Raymond Ross (Ret., decd. 28 February, 1987) and devoted Mother of Son Patrick Shaughn Ross & Daughter Sheila Bridget Kathleen Ross; who passed away at home in Sidney, British Columbia, on the evening of Friday, 3 September, age 93. A former actress born 12 July, 1928 in Plymouth, Devon, England; she starred under the professional stage name Patsy Drake in several film productions of the former J. Arthur Rank Organisation including Blue Scar (1949), Vengeance is Mine (1949), The Blind Goddess (1948), Love in Waiting (1948), Trouble in the Air (1948) and The Way We Live (1946). Witty, articulate and well-read, she was a master cryptic crossword puzzle solver who gleefully trumped her Husband (and all other challengers) on regular occasion. An enthusiastic tennis player in her youth and lifelong avid fan of the sport; she enjoyed the televised broadcasts of all major ATP, WTA and ITF tournaments around the world, not missing a match right up until her passing. She will be deeply missed by her Children, Brother Michael Scantlebury and her extensive network of extended family members & friends residing across Canada, the United Kingdom and United States.
