EdnaROTHWELLWe are sad to announce the passing of Edna Rothwell, née Holden, on Sunday, December 5. Edna passed after a short illness, at home, surrounded by her family. Special thanks to the local District Nursing team for their care, compassion and reassurance. Edna is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ken, daughters Gill and Joanne, their partners Myles and Stuart, also grandchildren Dominic, Samuel, James, and Kate, and beloved cat Bella. Edna worked at Porritts and Spencer, Sunnybank Mill, P and S Filtration, Broadway, and was a dinner lady at Helmshore County Primary School. Edna loved holidays abroad, gardening, cats, and meals out with family and friends, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Edna’s funeral was due to take place on Thursday, December 16, at 1.30pm at St Thomas Musbury, followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 3pm. Family flowers only; donations to Helmshore Branch British Legion or St Thomas Church Musbury, c/o funeral director Caroline Holden-Dewhurst for Johnson Durning and Woods Funeral Service.
