KenROTHWELLThe family is very sad to announce the passing of Mr Ken Rothwell on Tuesday, June 14, aged 91, after a short illness at home, surrounded by his family. Ken was a much-devoted husband to the late Edna. He was a loved and highly respected community figure in Helmshore and will be greatly missed. Ken was a Painter and Decorator for over 60 years. He leaves behind his daughters Gill and Jo, and their families. Ken was an active member of Haslingden Conservative Club, The Royal British Legion and the Lodge of Amity to name a few. He enjoyed holidays abroad, especially Australia, and loved snooker and lawn bowling in his younger years. Special thanks to the local District Nursing Team who were kind, compassionate, and caring. The funeral will be held on Friday, June 24 at 11am, at St Thomas Church, Helmshore, followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 12.20pm. There will be a celebration of Ken’s life at The Coach, 163 Market Street, Edenfield afterwards.
