JeanRUDDELLMrs Patricia Jean Ruddell, of Turfcote Nursing Home, Helmshore, formerly of Stacksteads, died at home on Thursday, August 11, aged 88. Born in Britannia, Jean, as she was known, had lived in Bacup all of her life. She had worked at Valley Supply Co. in Stacksteads for many years. She enjoyed knitting, walking, gardening, watching bowls and coach holidays abroad, especially in the United States, but was mainly happy when surrounded by her loving family. Widow of the late Bill and mother to the late John, she leaves daughter Yvonne and her husband Wilf, granddaughters Michelle and her husband Anthony, Joanne and her partner Brent, grandson Damian and his wife Lynsay, eight grandchildren, nephews, nieces and many friends. A short service will be held at the Chapel of Rest on Thursday, August 25 at 11.40am, followed by cremation at Burnley Crematorium at 12.15pm, conducted by Ms Jill Bolton.
