Sylvia MargaretRUFF(Née Spencer) It is with great sadness that the family of Sylvia Ruff (née Spencer) of Littleover, Derby, announce her death following a period of illness which led to her being cared for at Brookfields Nursing home during the last two weeks of her life.
She died peacefully in her sleep on 9th March 2026 with her eldest daughter by her side.
For over 65 years Sylvia was the beloved wife of Tony, who, very sadly, had passed away just six weeks earlier. She will be greatly missed by their three daughters Helen, Rachel and Caroline, grandchildren Georgia and Sam, sons-in-law Malcolm, Andie and Greg, her cousins Cheryl and Alan, and all her friends and extended family members.
A funeral service will be held at Trent Valley Crematorium at 11.30am on Friday 17th April. Following Sylvia's wishes, her daughters ask that attendees should dress in colourful clothing if comfortable to do so, or wear a splash of pink if wearing formal black attire.
Family flowers only please. Donations in her memory will be collected at the funeral to support the work of Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance.
