DarrenRUTHERFORD - (INVERNESS, FORMERLY ALNESS)It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Darren passed away unexpectedly, at home in Inverness, on Monday 11th August 2025, aged 45 years.

Beloved son of Mike and the late Muriel, cherished brother of Louise, devoted dog dad of Bella and a good friend to many.

A celebration of Darren’s life is to be held at Inverness Crematorium on Friday 29th August 2025, commencing at 11 am. All family and friends respectfully invited.

All flowers welcome. A donation, if desired, can be made at the service or online to Mikeysline and Change Mental Health.

It isn’t often that we know someone who made a positive difference in each of his friends’ lives. You did Darren….for so many people. You made something magical happen in real life.

I thought I would ‘go’ well after you and I was going to leave my wonderful unicorn to you in my will. I will bring him for you when it’s my turn.
